Supercharged liquid culture (DLME):
Supercharger liquid culture is made with mycological peptone and mixed with water and other sugars. Peptones are excellent natural sources of amino acids, and are commonly used in Liquid Culture and agar recipes as a supplement to stimulate mycelium growth, greatly improving its quality and resulting is extremely thick mycelium.
Ingredients
- 600mls water
- 1.2g light malt extract
- 20g corn syrup
- 1g peptones
Basic Light Malt Extract Liquid Culture (LME):
Light malt extract provides the perfect nutrition for your mycelium to expand, whist keeping your liquid culture clear allowing you to identify contamination early on in your mycelium’s growth.
Too much light malt extract can leave your liquid culture looking yellow and really isn’t necessary.
Ingredients
- 600ml water
- 1g light malt extract
Brewers Yeast Liquid Culture:
Yeast extract has a high content of amino nitrogen and water soluble B complex vitamins that provide a highly nutritional additive for your liquid culture or agar. This solution supports strong mycelium growth but can leave your liquid culture looking cloudy and harder to see contaminants.
Ingredients
- 600mls water
- 1g brewers yeast
- 20g light malt extract
